Session 2: Learning by looking at my life over time
Introduction
What tin we learn by looking at our life, and our experiences, over time? How can this exist helpful for the future?
Session 1 was about looking at yourself in your nowadays state of affairs. However, the person y'all are now is partly a effect of everything that has happened to you lot in the past: who you were with, where you take been, what yous have washed and the exterior events that have affected your life.
We larn from skillful and bad experiences and the ups and downs of life, but some people may have had farthermost events in their life that would be deplorable to revisit. Experiences over time
In this department you will be asked to draw a timeline to plot your life feel. The timeline creates a graphic moving picture of your life – or a period in your life – that volition assist you to identify the ups and downs, and likewise any patterns or recurring themes that you may not have been aware of.

From the betoken of view of existence a carer, reflection…time to reflect really, is often something that people have little of, and if they're able to come forth to a form such as the one that you're providing today, it allows them that fourth dimension to think about, 'well, yeah, my life might exist full of domesticity and I might take to practice lots of practical jobs everyday just in order to make sure that my loved i is warm, fed, clothed, clean, medicated, etc.' but those are also areas of life which provide you with experiences that translate to skills that you can use in future employment opportunity perhaps. So, for example, organisation, communication… they're all things that lots of carers do all the time with a diverse range of people, but mayhap wouldn't call up to be putting them downwards on an awarding for didactics or indeed for employment considering it's something they do at home so it's something they run across equally but being themselves, a personal attribute as opposed to something with market value, and I think that's very important for people to be able to broaden their horizons and retrieve in terms of 'well, I exercise have value; I have many skills or …strings to my bow, then really I will be able to get out in that location and promote myself and believe in myself plenty to be able to do well in a more bookish or indeed employment chapters.'
